Uncovering the Conspiracy: How the Durham Report Reveals Democrat Interference in Trump's Presidency

By Jessica Schultz Pleasant

The Durham Report is the long-awaited bombshell that has shakened up the political world. Special Counsel John Durham described a shocking conspiracy by Democrats to interfere in President Trump's presidency, and its findings are nothing short of explosive. From secret meetings to illegal wiretapping, this report uncovers it all. Buckle up, because things are about to get wild!

According to CNN, “The investigation was launched in May 2019 by Trump's former Attorney General William Barr — a probe that Trump and his right-wing allies repeatedly predicted would "investigate the investigators" and lead to bombshell indictments of those who scrutinized the former president.”

Durham’s report is 316 pages long, and includes information from interviews with over 100 witnesses, as well as a review of over one million documents. The report does not conclude that there was criminal activity by anyone associated with the Trump campaign, in stark contrast, the report lays out extensive evidence of wrongdoing by senior FBI and DOJ officials.

In its own report, the Justice Department inspector general raised similar concerns about the FBI investigation into Trump, but ultimately concluded that the investigation was justified. Durham criticized how the FBI, in July 2016, decided to open the counterintelligence investigation into Trump, known as "Crossfire Hurricane". The Justice Department spent almost three years and millions of tax payer dollars in pursuing the allegations of the Steele Dossier. The Durham report now accuses top officials of relying on raw and uncorroborated information to pursue the case.

The Durham report was more scathing, finding that the FBI moved quickly on a vague tip about potential contacts between a Trump campaign aide and Russian officials in July 2016 based on "raw, unanalyzed and uncorroborated evidence" in a "disruptive departure from how it approached" the Clinton campaign.

To damage Trump and hide the criminal acts of Hillary Clinton, she funded the means for the infamous Steele Dossier, that was designed to link Trump to a Russia bank. Christopher Steele is a former British Intelligence officer with the Secret Intelligence Service(M16). At the M16 headquarters in London, Steele was over Russia intelligence during 2006 to 2009. After his service he began a career in private intelligence firm, by co-founding Orbis Business Intelligence operating in London.

According to CNN, “The Steele dossier contained unverified allegations about Trump’s connections to Russia, including his alleged business dealings, rumors of lurid trysts in Moscow and claims that his campaign collaborated with the Kremlin in 2016.”

“As noted, the FBI attempted, over time, to investigate and analyze the Steele Reports but ultimately was not able to confirm or corroborate any of the substantive allegations contained in those reports. In the context of these efforts, and as discussed in (the report), the FBI learned that Steele relied primarily on a U.S.-based Russian national, Igor Danchenko, to collect information that ultimately formed the core allegations found in the reports,” the report reads.

Hillary Clinton’s participation was disclosed within the Michael Sussman trial for perjury. He was charged with lying to the FBI, claiming his intel was not from being paid as Hillary’s attorney. Durham led the prosecution, and even though it became fact Sussman lied, he was able to have FBI agents admit their superiors never told them he was with Hillary. Sussman essentially argued he did “no harm”, because FBI harmed themselves. Despite evidence, a Democrat D.C. jury found him not guilty.

According to Durham’s report, “Specifically, our investigation discovered that Danchenko himself had told another person that he (Danchenko) was responsible for 80% of the intel" and 50% of the analysis contained in the Steele Dossier."

Igor Danchenko

Igor Danchenko is a Russian citizen living in the United States. Danchenko was asked by Christopher Steele to investigate Trump and people within Trump's orbit. He participated in the FBI's foreign intelligence surveillance on Carter Page, Trump's 2016 presidential campaign foreign-policy adviser.

Durham's report continued, “Based on the review of "Crossfire Hurricane" and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,”

The report also contains the following information:

In contrast to the Trump campaign, Durham said the FBI was more cautious with allegations of foreign influence in the Clinton campaign, and did not pursue evidence in two cases when foreign governments attempted to influence Clinton while providing defensive briefings;

In Durham's view, the FBI relied too heavily on investigative tips from Trump's political opponents and did not rigorously analyze the information it received, leading to the appointment of Mueller as special counsel;

FBI agents ignored information that exonerated key people in “Crossfire Hurricane” despite a lack of intelligence community information which corroborated the hypothesis on which it was based;

The so-called Steele dossier was cited as a trigger for “Crossfire Hurricane”, but it actually arose from a tip from an Australian diplomat in London that a Trump campaign aide had advance knowledge of Russia releasing damaging information on Clinton. The Mueller investigation was meant to be the downfall of Trump’s presidency.

Durham was assigned to investigate the conduct of parties that contributed to the Mueller Report. According to Politico, “Conservatives have also seized on Mueller’s conclusion that no criminal conspiracy existed between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin as evidence that Steele’s sensational dossier was a fraud.”

It has long been alleged that top FBI officials who oversaw the "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation and left the bureau years ago had a duty to investigate allegations that Russia, a strategic US adversary, was trying to gain influence with Trump, who had no government experience. This was propagated by left wing media, and now they have eggs on their faces. For conservatives and Trump, it is basically “Groundhog’s Day”. Old news. It all being irrationally debated every day, for half a decade.

Key Takeaways

- The Russia investigation was based on "flimsy" evidence and was driven more by political bias than actual criminal activity.

- Senior FBI and DOJ officials repeatedly misled the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in order to obtain warrants to spy on members of the Trump campaign.

- There is no evidence that members of the Trump campaign conspired with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election.

- then-FBI Director James Comey mishandled the Clinton email investigation and made multiple misstatements about it to Congress and the public.

- Comey's actions during the Clinton email investigation were motivated more by politics than by justice.

- The report shows that the Obama administration was aware of the Russian interference in the 2016 election and took no action to stop it.

- The report also reveals that Hillary Clinton's campaign was aware of the Russian interference and used it to their advantage.

- The Durham Report provides new evidence that FBI Director James Comey was biased against President Trump and influenced by political considerations.

- The report contains explosive new information about former CIA Director John Brennan's involvement in the Russia investigation.

- The Durham Report lays out a clear case of obstruction of justice by senior officials at the Department of Justice and FBI.

In the wake of "Crossfire Hurricane", Christopher Steele Dossier, FISA warrants approved with lie to the courts, and the Durham Report, the FBI acknowledges there were problems that will now impact the FBI's dwindling credibility of the FBI and its appearance political bias.

After reviewing lists of reforms recommended, the FBI responded, “Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented. This report reinforces the importance of ensuring the FBI continues to do its work with the rigor, objectivity, and professionalism the American people deserve and rightly expect.”

These confirmed details may be a catalyst to propel Trump back into the White House in 2024. More citizens are becoming unable to deny the investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign was a witch hunt conducted by political opponents. The investigation into Trump had a devastating impact on his presidency, both in terms of its cost and its distraction from important issues. The report shows that the investigators abused their power and engaged in misconduct in an attempt to remove Trump from office.

It is now clear that there was a coordinated effort by some within the FBI and DOJ to undermine the Trump presidency. This revelation is sure to further fuel divisions within an already polarized country. The release of the Durham Report is likely to reignite calls for increased regulation of the FBI and DOJ. This could lead to more partisan gridlock in Washington and make it even harder for future administrations to govern effectively. These allegations have serious implications for future elections and politics in the United States.

According to CNN, the feckless Attorney General Merrick Garland received the Durham Report on Friday. Then, Garland had the report delivered to Capitol Hill on Monday, May 15, 2023. In a letter to Congress accompanying the report, Garland said, “Special Counsel Durham’s unclassified report is attached in full as submitted to me, without any additions, redactions, or other modifications.”

GOP Representative Jim Jordan is the chair of the House Judiciary Committee. After news of the report being released, Jordan announced he would be contacting the Department of Justice. With the House involved, next week will be newsworthy, as Jordan requests Durham to testify to the committee about his report.

After years of investigation, the Durham report finally uncovered what many suspected all along: that there had been interference from Democrats in Trump's presidency. This was a scandal that shook the nation and revealed just how deep political corruption can go. Although it is still too early to know the full implications of this revelation, one thing is clear – this report has certainly caused some ripples throughout American politics and will have lasting effects on both sides of the aisle for years to come.
